Microsoft is launching a new feature in Skype that has been waiting for 15 years

About 15 years ago, we were able to enjoy video calls on Skype. Since then, a range of new functions and features have been introduced to users. However, there’s something users are asking for all this time and the app wants to apply it now – video call recording.
On Monday, Microsoft announced the release of a new desktop Skype number 8.0. This will replace version 7.0, also known as “Classic”, and will start working on September 1.
One of the most anticipated developments is that Skype will allow users to record their video calls without the need for third party applications. According to Microsoft, the entire recordings will be saved in the cloud. Also, once the user has started recording the video call, all participants in the call will be notified. Clearly, so that no person is registered without their consent.
But this is not the only thing this new release brings. There is a list of other new features in Skype 8.0, such as reading a notification.
Where in group chat we can see who reads our message without clicking on it. We will only see small avatar images of each participant below the message to see that they have already read it. This is very similar to what is already happening on Facebook, and the Private Conversations feature, from which we can send a call to a contact for a conversation with more protection, as well as the Group Links feature. There will be an option to create a group chat link and send it to multiple people. Once you select the link, these people can automatically join this chat, and finally call Skype. To talk to someone who is not on Skype yet, you’ll simply have to select the “Share Profile” option. However, you can send an invitation to an acquaintance to join Skype and start talking quickly.
In the end, Microsoft has ensured that Skype 8.0 with all its tools is also available on that date for iPad devices.
